My comment: Did said CEO say that Homo sapiens won't always rule the planet Earth? Is it that scary ? Had the Cuban missile crisis gone wrong, we might not even be here. Maybe the reason for Fermi paradox is that in 9 times out of 10 when life becomes intelligent it commits ecocide, but occasionally it spawns sentient AI which allows the legacy of its biosphere to continue on.
