The Karpman Drama Triangle is a psychological and social model that maps three dysfunctional roles people often take in conflict:
- Victim – feels oppressed, helpless, or powerless
- Persecutor – blames, criticizes, or controls
- Rescuer – tries to save or fix others, often without being asked
These roles can shift dynamically and trap people in unproductive patterns of interaction.
