Interesting Instagram reel from kallaway.

Would you buy a $99,000 home if it was 3D printed? This is @icon3dtech ...and they’re pioneering the future of sustainable living. Icon is a leading company in the alternative home construction space. They’ve created the Vulcan and The Phoenix, two advanced robot systems that literally print houses on demand...they can lay the full foundation in just 24 hours. But the coolest part is that because they’re using 3D printing system vs traditional building materials, they have much more flexibility with design. In the video you can see a sample of the wild layout and structural designs they can support. They believe, at scale, they can get home construction costs down to $25/sq. ft...8 times less than the average build in California. They also ran a challenge with architects from around the world to see who could come up with the best home design for <$99,000. They’ve built their first full 3D printed city outside of Austin Texas, have created the first 3D printed hotel, and are building test structures for NASA in anticipation of an upcoming trip to Mars. And if you want to play with their design software, they recently rolled out an AI architect called Vitruvius that lets you custom design any house you can imagine. All this made me wonder...would you live in a 3D printed home from Icon?
