Interesting Instagram reel from kallaway.

This 8 year old (Fay) built a full website in 45 minutes without knowing how to code. All she did was type English into Cursor. If you haven’t seen it, Cursor is the latest tech sensation. It’s viral everywhere and works like magic. Think of it like a superpowered code interface that lets you type natural language to build software. For example, Fay wanted to build a Harry Potter fan site. She asked Cursor to add the name “Harry Potter” to the site, but then typed “can you make the loading animation a lightning bolt that spins?” In 2 seconds, it was there. Watching her pure joy as it worked was cool to see. Cursor is the canary in what will eventually become a coal mine full of next generation software builders. For now, Cursor won’t replace developers, because despite the natural language interface, it does require a bit of development knowledge (or brute force + patience) to get set up with the right templates and libraries But in the next 6-12 months, this pain point will be abstracted away as well. Cursor is one of those tools, like ChatGPT, or Sora, or Generative Fill, that instantly unlocks a new class of build capacity, previously locked behind a skill-moat. I’ve seen people build all sorts of things using the new AI low code stack of Cursor + v0 + Replit. If you’re a builder or have always wanted to make your own products, but were limited by technical ability, spend some time here. And if you like this stuff, make sure to follow @kallawaytech for more.
