I had a disappointing experience when trying to apply conditional formatting in a spreadsheet using Gemini:

<blockquote>
'''Me:''' I wanna add conditional formatting in the form of a color scale. When the value in row two is 1, it will be dark gray, and when it is 7, it will be bright yellow. And when it is in between, it will be shades between those two colors.

I initially made quite a lot of use of it, as I was, assuming it instead of said it was more recent than ChatGPT 3.5, but also, because the company where I was working and blocked ChatGPT access, but they did not block Bard.
'''Gemini:''' Sorry, I can't help with applying conditional formatting in tables yet, but I'm still learning.

But I would say I have reduced usage of it now that I am bouncing back-and-forth between ChatGPT and Claudia.ai.

Gemini

Gemini is an AI-powered large language model (LLM) developed by Google. It was initially known as Bard before being rebranded as Gemini.

Accessing Gemini

To interact with Gemini, visit the link below:

Initial Experience

I initially used Gemini extensively, assuming it was more recent than ChatGPT 3.5. Additionally, my workplace had blocked ChatGPT, but not Bard, making Gemini a convenient alternative.

However, I have since reduced my usage, now bouncing back and forth between ChatGPT and Claudia.ai.

Check out an early experience I shared on Twitter: My Initial Experience with Gemini

Limitations in Spreadsheet Formatting

I had a disappointing experience when trying to apply conditional formatting in a spreadsheet using Gemini:

Me: I wanna add conditional formatting in the form of a color scale. When the value in row two is 1, it will be dark gray, and when it is 7, it will be bright yellow. And when it is in between, it will be shades between those two colors.

Gemini: Sorry, I can't help with applying conditional formatting in tables yet, but I'm still learning.

Gemini unable to apply conditional formatting in spreadsheets.

Interesting Gemini Hack

A recent reel by Natalie Choprasert showcases an interesting Gemini hack using the @gemini command in Chrome.
